According to the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission, the recalled products include Boppy Original Newborn Loungers, Boppy Preferred Newborn Loungers and Pottery Barn Kids Boppy Newborn Loungers.
Eight deaths linked to the loungers were reported between December 2015 and June 2020. Infants reportedly suffocated after being placed in a lounger on either their back, side or stomach.
The loungers were sold in stores from January 2004 to September 2021, were distributed in the U.S. and Canada by retailers including Amazon, Pottery Barn Kids, Target and Walmart.
Parents should stop using the loungers immediately and contact Boppy for a full refund, the CPSC said.
